Default Help- Do I have a fried clutch?

When I give the car gas the RPMs rise but it takes a while for the car to catch up. It is especially evident in 6th gear.
Could it be something besides my clutch?

Does it vibrate when you're going into 5th or 6th gear when the car catches up? I had a similar problem before but apparently that's supposed to be "normal". If its only vibrating then its not a problem.

Congrats,
It's time for a new clutch. Yours is toast.

That is clutch slippage. Bummer

When you change it out put in a good one: http://www.hopupracing.com/clutchmasters.html

Cheaper than stock too.

Just stop doing all those 4000 RPM clutch drops!

I think I might be in the same boat. No slippage but when I let out the clutch at a standstill I get a sharp squeaking sound. Does anyone know what this is symptomatic of?

Haha. Suffice to say that's the case with all of us who have this problem.... even 3000+ will kill you.

I had the same problem about two weeks ago and my car is in the shop right now getting the clutch replaced with the JWT clutch/flywheel combo. It got so bad that at a light I went to accelerate and the car didn't move, the clutch would not even engage. I had to get the car towed to a shop. If you keep driving it like this it will happen to you.
