Need help to Convert my 1992 Toyota Camry to a 350Z engine!
Hi, I have a 1992 Toyota Camry and I love the body style and also I love the 350Z. Later I want to get an engine swap to convert my Toyota Camry to a 350Z engine is that possible? I heard it’s possible to do an engine swap but I want to know how much it’s going to cost. Can any one help me out thanks.
It will be a cool project for me to convert my Camry to a 350Z!

There is a V6 Camry model so the 350Z engine MIGHT fit.
Though you cant just replace the engine, you need to replace transmission and the whole drivetrain unless you are extremly handy or know someone who is that can build custom parts to interconnect between your Toyota parts and the Nissan engine.
I wouldnt recomend doing that that though but almost everything is POSSIBLE, if you want more power better spend money on rebuilding the engine or getting a Toyota Camry V6 and tune that.
Just my thoughts, im no engine swap expert.

As said above, it's going to be lots of work, be prepared to spend more than it's worth.
Unless you're hell bent on a 350Z engine, you could get a Maxima/Altima VQ35DE, and at least the engine orientation would be the same, and you'd have a useable tranny.

I love the my 1992 Toyota Camry a lot, its a V6 model, and I love the 350Z a lot too. I am willing to spend a lot of time and money to do an engine swap in my Camry to a 350Z engine. Where do you think I can get the parts and get the custom install? What do you think its the estimated cost going to be including the prats and the labor. Thanks for all your help!

Hmm I've seen an L67 (GM 3800 Supercharged V6 pushrod) in an Accord shell. I'm not sure why you would want a Nissan motor in a Toyota. You can probably get a new Camry/Avalon/Solara motor with much more ease in there. Anything is possible but it won't be cheap and at the end of the day you will still have a Camry no offense.

I know that in the end of the day its going to be a Camry but I still love it. I also wanted to make the car RWD, and that is sort of why I want to put the Nissan 350Z engine to it and I love both cars but I like to keep mine forever! I would spend the money to get an engine swap if I have to.
I also have love for the 92-96 camry v6 as that was my first car before the miata then Z. Learned the basics of body weight transer and finding the line on turns HAHA. Good memories.. While replacing the shock on that baby the actual right spring broke in half as I was compressing it I guess I was more confident with my left turns hahaha. Still running strong with 180k miles.

Sike!!!!
Man, relax, this is the biggest waste of time/money to make your camry RWD and w/a 350Z engine. I do not know much about the details, but tou at least will have to fab new eging mount, modify the firewall to put in the engine which is now (what's that word...) longitudial (or something) with a longass transmission attached, then you fab up a driveshaft, modify the floor to make a tunnel for it, fab up some axels... On the off chance you get away with it you will still be stuck with a '92 spec Camry suspension... I have an Idea. Keep the Camry as a daily beater and get a brand new Z. And read up through previous issues of Sport Compact Car to get the definition of "Medulla Badidea"
My first car was a 93 camry and while it was a good first car it isnt even close to a z. FYI if you do an engine swap your going to spend more than 12K being that you obviously dont know how to do this yourself. You are trying to make a FWD into a RWD car, and you want to go with a nissan engine over toyota. A buddy of mine has a 240sx and he swapped a 2Jz into it so im assuming the swap would be possible, but he is a skilled mechanic and it took him a few months to get it up and running and he had to fab every single piece to make the fitment right. He spent about 11k and he did all this himself so it was all parts and engine comps and the tools to make it work. The car is quick as s#$t but even with sways and coilovers it handles worse than it did when it was stock. After you get the engine and pay someone to do the swap and fab the parts and get it working, you talking prolly close to 18 - 22k easy maybe more and your INSurance company wont like it either just so you know.
Basically if you like the Z then buy it you know it works that way, or if you want a more aggresive camry get the lexus is300 its a sporty camry with a nice motor. If you are deadset on swapping the enigne i think you might wanna try a 2JZ before the VQ it might be easier and it would be cheaper and more hp+tq
