Earthing Kit
earthing kit is a series of wires run aorund the engine to the batter to better ground the engine block and eliminate "noise" in the sensor wires which thus allows the ECU to recieve more accurate and clear data. which in turn leads to a smoother more efficient engine.
there are also speculations that the AC liquid will last longer with less ions created. highly unlikely. if it were true, I dont think the AC gives a crap, the AC system will likely outlive the car anyway.
there is no power boost implied with the mod, it is simply to smooth things over.

thanks lol...
Here is a question hopefully one of you can answer.
I was telling my roomate about the grounding kits and he told me they were useless. This is why. He said that the signal between the ECU and the controled components etc is a digital signal. Since it is a digital signal and not an analog one, the signal won't be affected by "line noise". And if it isn't affected by line noise then the supposed benefits gained from the grounding kit are all placebo effect.
Both my roomate and myself are far from experts, but what he said made sense. Or at least as much sense as what other people have been saying in favor of the grounding kit.
Any truth to this?
I am still very interested in a grounding kit, but I am now skeptical again
about its true usefulness.

Do a few searches and you will find skidazzle's post with pics showing the screen caps of the smoother idle. There is also a post showing hp increase on the dyno from one of the manufacturers, read with a grain of salt or two. There are alos more discussions about the reasons why this works.
