Default Stillen Torque Damper.

I just installed this piece and noticed some thing's. The car seem to be a lil stiffer. Nothing major just a lil. Also seemed like the throttle is a tiny bit more responsive. Those are the good points.

Other then that I feel the car vibrate a lil more in low RPM range's. Nothing tooo bad, but I can still notice it. Is that normal?

Thanx

I was just wondering if this mod really makes a difference in performance. Anyone have any thoughts?

Well went I installed my new set of cats at the shop I hit the gas a few times after the install and my friend pointed out that there was some engine movement. So the damper is suppose to keep the motor still. So all that wasted torque of turning the motor is eliminated and puts that power to the wheels.. Plus I felt the car was a lil more stiffer and responsive.

This mod isn't something to do for performance really, it's just to prevent the motor from moving so much, which means better throttle response and power response. I have it on my car and I like it, it's a nice piece.

yeah making the motor not move means the stillen engine damper gets some exercise, that's all. Steady is better for handling

it improves handling some, helps keep the top plenum from possibly rubbing the strut bar any if you have a setup where you're running really close to the strut bar.

it helps aftermarket shifters not make as much noise

All the things you've experienced are normal. I've had mine for a while now and I think it was a worth while mod.
