Default suspension guru help, please.

I hope I titled this topic accurately...no attempt to erk anyone not interested....what I really need is some accurate feedback from someone who thinks they can help. Here's the deal:

I am ordering some wheels that can be built to any offset I want and am asking for you help in determining the appropriate offsets. I know this has been beat to death...but for me my setup has not been directly addressed and I don't want to end up with something that doesn't work or rubs horribly.

I will be running 18 x 9's up front and 18 x 10's in the rear.

I want to run a 285/40/18 on rear with little room to spare near the fender lip...but no rubbing under extreem conditions. Additionally, I want to run a 255/45/18 up front and want to clear larger brakes (nothing outrageous...but haven't decided on kit yet) and not have clearance issues not only over the calipers...but the fender.

So...I'm thinking of a 25mm+ offset up front and a 28mm+ offset in the rear. Please comment if you can be of any assistance. I really want to order my wheels since I'll have a lengthy wait after ordering I want to get this offset thing figured out.

Thanks

Damnit...sorry, was thinking the 255/45/18's were around a 26.5" diameter...but they are not. They are a 27.1" diameter which wouldn't probably keep the computer "happy". I guess a 265/40/18 would be the best combo at a 26.3" diameter I would be nearly dead nuts with the .7" stock variance front to rear....so use that as a basis for answering please.

thanks

OK...guess I did title incorrectly....now the moderator moved this to the wrong section as far as I'm concerned because of title....
Reason I named as I did "suspension guru, help please" was because I was asking something about wheels and the appropriate offsets necessary to clear suspension parts etc. My bad...if a moderator is reading this feel free to rename something like "offsets to clear fenders, calipers, and suspension parts" OK?

Hehe, Driven you seem to be screwed.

Unfortunately I don't know jack about offsets so I can't really help, but maybe you should repost with a different title.

Sorry, and good luck!
