Default Aluminum Under Tray

Not that I have any interest in buying one, but I discovered this under tray. Does it go “under” the engine?

yes that appears to be a replacement for the plastic piece the Z comes with stock. At least it has the same layout as the stock piece. I would think the advantage is that it wouldn't flex or flap around as much due to wind resistance, possibly lowering drag and making the car more aerodynamic...

I want one of these, but they are like $590 or so...a little steep for a piece of aluminum.

And you can get to the oil filter without removing this panel.

well you can get to the oil drain plug, not the oil filter

Installed it on my car...not much of a review to post, but fit and finish were top notch. Will have to go back to the track to see if I notice any differences.

Do you know if this will fit on the g35 coupe, it looks to be pretty close to the plastic undertray on the coupe, but i cant tell for certain.

I want this so bad... Not cause it offers any aerodynamic stability, cooling or whatnot but because it is aluminum. I've destroyed one plastice undertray and the other one is pretty messed up from a off road excursion at a drift event. The always seem to crack/break around the bolt locations. I want to get metal undertrays for the entire car but I don't really know where to look... Are there any more affordable options?
