Default removing radiator hoses from throttle body?

I'd like to take care of this today, but I don't know exactly what to do, if I unplug the hose will fluid spray everywhere? Where do I plug it back into? Can someone just give me a step by step walkthrough please?

WHen I took my throttle body off, the fluid did not spray. It will dribble out for a lil though. If it gets steady, prop the hoses up and they should stop.

Car must be cool. Open the radiator cap to release any pressure then close it again. When you pull the hoses, a little may spill. Use lots of towels to catch any drips and as Monsta pointed out, keep them "up" and you'll have no problem.

You are awful...LOL...just wait till you meet me Rott.

Use use a brass barbed fitting to bridge the two hoses.

Yes, remove the two hoses from the throttle body, and bridge them with a barbed brass fitting.

We clamp them..If the car is warm and it sprays coolant all over it is not only a stink mess, but it can cause an air pocket in your coolant system which will cause the Temps to spike..The coolant system is a PITA to bleed..

Sorry, I made the assumption you knew to use the stock clamps to secure it to the brass fitting. Definately clamp it as well...sorry for not mentioning that, as I wouldnt trust the barb alone, to secure the hose, and prevent leaks.

After taking off the stock clamps, they became pretty loose. I was able to open it with my fingers which was a pita when first taking them off. I'm going to see what I can do. Dont feel like taking off the air tube to check it out

I clamped the hoses to avoid air bubbles.

Here's a DIY, including pics: http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...b=5&o=&fpart=1

they must be reconnected to eachother. removing the airtube will save lots of swearing though. if you trace where the lines go, you can just eliminate the rear coolant hose from the throttle body, and with some creative bending, hook the front coolant hose to the steel line. you will see what io am talking about if you trace where the lines go.

FWIW, the coolant is circulated through the upper plenum, not the throttle body.
