Greetings
This is my first post (hopefully of many to come) in this forum. Let me give you a little background on me:
I'm an american living in Okinawa, Japan working as a network administrator. I currently drive a modified 1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R but I recently got the go-ahead from the appropriations committee (I.E. wife) to sell the old girl and get a new Z33 Fairlady Z (that's what we call 'em here in Japan). I still haven't decided on the package but I'm leaning toward a daytona blue track pack. I'll most likely get the Stillen body kit for it pretty quickly. Most of the modifications to my GT-R has been done by my friend's garage, Motorworx, here in Okinawa. One of our priorities will be to get the VQ35DETT going under the hood. We will mostly likely be using an SDS engine management system (it's what I use on my GT-R. Best bang for the buck, in our opinion) to control everything. Still haven't decided on which turbines to use.
In any event, I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'll be posting on the progress of the twin turbo 350Z. I can't wait to get the ball rolling. Talk to you soon!

Welcome aboard! I think you'll find this board very friendly and full of great information.
Congrats on the approval from your "appropriations committee"!

Lemme get this straight. You're asking a guy who is just getting his license back after losing it for 6 months about the cops here? Cops are cops wherever you go, man. On the plus side, the cops here follow specific patterns that you can avoid if you know them. My problem was that I was distracted that one day and wasn't thinking on the matter at hand and I paid for it. It was my first ticket in about 4.5 years. Not a bad average but it only takes that one time
.
Ah well. To answer a previous question about body kits, I live in Japan but I live in OKINAWA, Japan. I'm on a lil tropical island prefecture south of the mainland. There aren't many Fairlady Z33 parts available down here. most of what I get I have to ship from the mainland. It costs pretty close to the same amount to get something shipped from the states as it does to get shipped from the mainland. So there you go.
Take care, all, and keep one eye out for those flashing lights.
