Tranny/clutch problem?
I'm really not sure which is wrong, or if anything is wrong at all.
Tonight while driving on the highway, I punched 3rd gear and shifted to 4th at around 5500rpm. I could not get it in gear until after a few seconds. It just wouldn't let me in so I let go.
I tried to duplicate using 1-2-3-4 again and they were fine, although shifting seemed much harder to get in gear now then the few month prior that I was driving. I don't do hard driving everyday. I am usually stuck in pathetic LA traffic and only goes out and pull it hard once or twice per weekend. Also, this all happened while the car's been warmed up. I've been driving around traffic for close to 40 mins.
Second problem: After the above occurred, I went to the market to buy some stuff. Everytime I step on the clutch, when the car's not in motion, at one point of contact, the clutch makes an audible click and you can completely feel the clutch engage. I have never had this noise for sure because I listen to every damn sound my car makes. This is a pretty loud click. You do not have to concentrate to hear it. Even my gf can hear it casually.
Anyone experienced this? I honestly don't remember every having this click. Is all this leading to a possible transmission change? =(
