I would go with the single turbo option, why pay the extra money for another turbo if you dont need it? A T-04 would be perfect for this engine, 10 psi is nowhere near the potential of the turbo. With the stock internals it will be hard to dial up much boost but come on guys 400 hp is a lot in a little car. If you dialed the T-04 to 30 psi you would have about 600+hp. Who needs a supra? All it will take is some low compression pistons and fuel systems.

Lag..what Lag. Are you kidding me, a small single putting out 400 hp on a 3.5L 6 will have almost no lag. I had a single turbo Supra with over 500RWHP and it spooled faster than the stock twins. Believe me, simple is better. Also a single= less weight and fewer things to go wrong.
Just my 2 cents.
PS
the real questions is: is 400 RWHP all the 350 can support with stock internals. Not flaming but just wondering how bullet proof the engine is??

Can the stock Automatic tranny hold up that much horses (400hp)? and a little bit off topic here.... James, how much was it to mod up that Q45, you know, the grand total?

any thoughts when designing the turbos to have it able to fit the g35 coupes? i mean if it would fit 2 cars you'll have a larger market. if your making a single kit, where are you going to place the turbo? wouldn't two small t3, or gt25/28 be eaiser to fit into the tight engine bay? and really 7000 isnt even much for a twin kit, keep in mind hks twin gt28 kit retails over 9k and thant does't even come with a i/c. 7000 is a decent price in my mind, considering you pretty much getting two small turbo kits. but hey what do i know.

I could stay NA but add cams, headers, forged pistons, ECU remap, stroker kit, etc. and it would no longer be stock, but still would be NA (not that those parts exist yet, but you get the idea).
I guess it was a bit confusing given the nature of this post, however.
Now, back on topic, any updates? My only thought on cost is that I think you really want to make sure it's done right. If I were to go turbo, I would be more willing to spend a certain amount money on a well designed, well engineered, single turbo kit than a slapped together twin turbo kit. As long as the turbo kit has a steady torque curve without any wicked peaks, then it still might work for curvy racing applications.

Am I the only guy a little frustrated that we do not have any turbo on the market yet? We supposely got the Stillen SC but to my knowledge, no one has it on yet and no track or Dyno results. I think it is pathetic that Stillen does not have Dyno results posted with the product anyways.
Some of you might say that it is too early but from my perspective, the VQ motor has been out for years (maybe not 3.5L) so adapting it to the Z cannot be a year long engineering problem.
When I began 350z.com last year, a lot of talk was on how great this car would be to mod. To date, it seems we do not have a marketable ECU, Turbo, or anything else besides a louder sound with 5-12 hp. I am hoping I can push this motor out to or close to 400hp and still have dependability. Am I being unrealistic?
Nismo need to be in the USA as promised for starters.

still working on it,
the engine is really TIGHT on space,
if it works well, we will probably do one for the G35 coupe, it is basically the same car.

Strange. I agree with you about a single being able to spool faster. I ha d a 94 supra with HKS 2835 turbos made as much as 809RWHP but the lag was bad. my buddy had a T78 made about the same power and even that turbo that is not ballbearing spooled faster.

Axis, I hope this turbo kit you're speaking of produces better numbers than the Greddy version. They're saying figures around the neighborhood of 345hp! Not 345WHP, 345HP!

Power extreme has a 400+ kit. With a twin setup the turbo is only spooling of a bank of 3 cyl for each turbo with the single there are 6 to spool that is why it is faster. The point of the twins is to use smaller and spool faster to make the same power (stock) That is why the 300ZX had twins. I would think the theory would be a little different with the supras sequential setup.
I doubt that you could get a single on the 350 there isn't enough room to make both manifold meet at the single turbo. IMO. Stranger things have happened though.
