Default Motul 600 and moisture

I have been reading that Motul 600 absorbs moisture fairly easily requiring intensive maintenance (i.e. frequent bleeding/replacement, etc.). Has this been other's experience?

Thanks!

All brake fluids absorb moisture. I have not heard that Motul 600 doe sit any faster than any others.

Some racing brake fluids have to be replaced at least once a year. Motul 600 may last a little longer. Depends on the use it sees. If you are at the track every weekend, you may want to change it after a year. If you ony go to the track two or three time a year, then you can go longer before replacing.

I've never used Motul. I always used ATE Superblue and I replaced it at least once a year.

Hope that helps.

I use Motul 600 and change it every year as well although if you don't track often it should last a little longer before your boiling point starts dropping.

Motul absorbs moisture very quickly. Here is a good link because it shows that only a few percent moisture in brake fluid will dramatically lower the boiling point. I still use Motul because I flush my brake system on a monthly basis with all the track days I do.

What about silicone based brake fluids?
