Looks like you're not doing too shabby during the test days. Nice. Only being beat by some *serious* other cars, like Porsche GT3's! Now if you could only shave off a couple more seconds and edge out those M3's.
The race is tape delayed on Feb. 8 at noon on Speed. You can also follow the race Timing & Scoring live on www.Grand-Am.com.
Actually we are not up aganst GT3's. GT3's are in Rolex and the Porsche Supercups are in GS1. We are in the Gs2 class. Its looking like rain for next weekend in Daytona. THis will definetly be an advantage to the S4's, but I also think this goes to our favor also...... Have to just wait and see.

Yeah, I figured the Porsches were in a different class. I was just comparing all the numbers during those test days.

Just out of curiosity, why do you feel the rain might be an advantage to you, too? Do you have some drivers who are veterans in the rain?
Or do you feel the 350 itself has some good wet handling capabilities over the other cars in the class?Oh, general question for you regarding the class you are in: do you know if the S4s in your class are required to have extra weight (ballast) added to the cars to counter the awd advantage? I know that's the case in some classes, but I didn't know if it applied in all cases.
BAD ***! Good luck on race day!
What did you done interms of engine mod? (if you're allowed to disclose them) I see no IC, so I would assume this is all motor. Anyways, how much whp is this beast putting out? Keep us posted.

I'm guessing it probably doesn't put out a huge amount more power than stock. I just took a look through the Grand Am Cup Series rules.

Doesn't look like you can modify the engine much. It looks like you can reprogram the ECU however you please, as long as you retain the OEM hardware. Looks like naturally aspirated cars have some limited freedoms with the exhaust and intake. Given that, you can probably get some more power out of the car, but probably not anything huge. (Unless the factory ECU programming is extremely conservative and has a lot of room to be opened up.)
As far as jacking to those stands it is kinda a game. First jack to smaller stands front and rear, then jack rear up on bigger stands then the front. We also have intalled jacking plates under each side and have added a jack stand kinda kick plate that mounts to the big Alumm stock bumper upfront.
ECU is open meaning we can go to a MOTEC type programable engine management. We are allowed aftermarket CAI but the filter cannot be exposed to direct air.( we have our INJEN mounedbut turned flat so that the filter is not exposed in the front grille. We are allowed headers and are free on exhaust. Our flywheel is in the works and will be done for Homestead.
As it is we are down on power to the other cars. That will change hopefully soon. I believe we have an great handling/braking car. Our wieght is about 2900 lbs and is distributed very nicley.
Rain is the great equalizer........ Well see how it goes

ps Wouldn't a lift be easier than those stands?

Once we get back, we will making bigger strides to get our products on the market. The sway bars and front arms are a must for anyone tracking their Z. Our bars allow you to change from a track setup and back to a street setup quiclky. With the other sway bars on the market you dont have any adjustablility.

Nice. I definitely look forward to checking out the races and watching your team and products develop over the course of the season. Very fun to watch something like this getting started from scratch with a brand new model of car!
