Utec vs Greddy Emanage vs Greddy Emanage Ulimate
I was looking at buying the turboxs UTEC ECU, but i was told that i really dont need something that advanced. Since, I am most likly going to stay NA and that the utec was really for Turbo'ed cars.
Heres my question:
What would you suggest for a car that is looking for roughly 300hp after, intake, exhaust, plenum spacer, and a nice tune.(I dynoed 244hp with just the intake and my AF ratio was all over the place)
So my choices are: 1) Utec 2) Greddy eMange (basic) 3)Greddy eMange Ulimate

You will be needing alot more than a tune to get close to 300hp.
But, I am glad that you asked this question. I am looking into some kind of Engine management system, and was wondering the same thing.
I have a intake, merv+, headers, testpipes, dual exhaust, and lightened crank pulley, and hopefully a tune soon. However, still think i will be about 15hp shy of the 300 mark.

If you're going to stay NA for sure, then you really don't need anything more than the e-manage blue. The UTEC is an awesome unit, but it is not needed for NA cars. I've seen the same gains on NA cars tuned by a e-manage blue and a UTEC. You could always go with the E-manage Ultimate though. It has a few more options than the e-manage blue, and its only about $200 more than the e-manage blue. It has almost all the same features as the UTEC. Once the last update for the ultimate comes out, it will be pretty much just like the UTEC (except the utec is plug and play).
eManage Blue is the cheapest and probably provides enough functionality for your needs but I'd think twice about doing it. You have to hack up your harness or pay for a costly autosport harness for minimal gains. Plus you have to have the diodes put in and all the wire patching done.
The eManage Ultimate ends up costing pretty close to the UTEC by the time you buy all the harnesses and have it installed (maybe even more than the UTEC). Plus, the UTEC will have much better resale value and you wont have to hack up your harness.
There are plenty of threads on both the EU and the UTEC including several that compare the UTEC and EU. I'd strongly suggest you read up and do your own research on the boards.
Also, both the emanage and the emanage ultimate have potential to blow coils. It may not happen often and a lot of people use the emanage and EU without any problems but the potential is there and contrary to popular belief the diodes to not resolve the problem.
