Default Clutch and Flywheel Questions

I want to do the clutch and flywheel mod, and I am looking at the ACT HDSS clutch and aluminum flywheel. My questions are:

1. I think this mod will not give me any more hp, but I believe it will give me more usable hp and much better engine response. Am I correct?

2. Has anyone used this et up and if so, likes and dislikes?

3. My Z is my daily driver, will this make my car unpleasant to drive under normal conditions.

4. I am thinking of having the UR pulley set installed while my car is in the shop, will that make my engine "to light?" Is that even possible?

5. Is there anything else I should consider? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

i had the ACT and fidanza combo...it served it purpose...but I have realized a quicker revving engine and much better feel with my RPS combo...

Installing a UR pulley does add horsepower and is a great mod...I personally don't use them but they are a great product and have noticeable gains....feel free to contact me if you have any further questions

I don't know about ACT, but I have the RPS and with FI it make a huge difference! I think it only added about 5-10rwhp, but the RPMs come up so much faster that I have no lag with my TT anymore!

Upgrading the flywheel / clutch, along with a lighter pulley won't have any negative effects, Just help the motor spin/rev up faster. I use to have the tilton and a lightweight pulley, no problems. And the tilton is the lightest setup.
If you are looking for a great clutch and flywheel combo, JWT is actually very good. We have had a few customers of ours even use the JWT clutch and flywheel setup on their twin turbo 350Zs, and they drag race their cars hard, all the time.
MrTomcat runs the JWT combo. It can actually hold the power quite well, and the flywheel makes a good difference in performance and acceleration. I would recomend that setup over many others. It's perfectly streetable, with no hard pedal feel etc...
