Sweet! I will be purchasing this kit from you soon. It seems every time I say okay im ready to go FI someone comes up with another mod to improve its reliability, LOL. Oh and im still waiting on the shift **** BTW, did it ever ship?

Thats so strange I am looking at the detailed summary of the shipment and it said at one point it was returned to sender but after that it states that it was delivered this morning but there wasn't a sticky note on my door when I got home from work, strange???? ill go by the main office in the morning at my apt. complex and see if anything was delivered, ill let you know. Thanks man, cant wait to get it! im gonna PM you on some other things too so be looking out for it

This is awesome Sharif! Doug told me about this a few weeks ago when I was talking to him about an engine build. It's really great of you to offer the details of this find. You deserve some kind of compensation for putting this kit together!

 

Hey Sharif....new to the forum.. Sam at GT Motorsports integrated this mod into my setup last month, its in the final days of tuning now, I'll let you know how everything turns out...Hope the pic shows up.

 

crom what happened to your test pipes? How did they get allcrushed on top?

This is a low cost alternative to the Pathfinder bypass
2 x 5/8" heater fittings tapped in to the manifold & blanking plate
Without a thermostat it will flow all the time, but a lesser amount than the Pathfinder solution.

 

That's a pretty good idea, too.. However, I would weld in some aluminum barb fittings, to minimize the possibility of leakage.

 

Looks like a more restrictive fitting, but it certainly would work.

FYI: Doug at Crawford Z is also going to carry the kits in stock for resale. Some of you had PM'ed me for the kits. Feel free to give Doug a call and he can ship you kits as well. My main intention for this post, was merely to point out this modification. I dont plan to actively sell the kits, but I will have some in stock for customer specific cars.

No, it does not interfere, or require modification to your return fuel system.

Hmmm - I am wonder why you need this, I am FI and Track my car and have NEVER had a temperature problem, even in the hot Georgia summer? Maybe I am just lucky, I don't know, but even when it was 97 F my oil temp never got above 190F and my water temp never got above the half way mark, and that was stressing the engine for over 20 min constant.

Plus, coolant cooling comes from the radiator, your engine under a given load condition will give you the same heat to the water regardless of this passage. Now if you are saying that there is a problem of a hot spot in the engine, than I can understand this mod.
But, if you had coolant temp problems before this, most likely you will still have them after unless you do something to increase the cooling of the coolant.
Still think the best cooling mod for FI is an oil cooler!
