Yes I indeed used the search button and never read nothing about if they are good for ur car or anything else so fill me in with some info...Whoever has this ^ fill me in if to buy it or not

Honestly...this has been debated for years without a definitive answer so like many other posts similar to yours, you'll just end up having yet another debate.

haha, well i installed them today with test pipes and i felt alot better throttle response. they are awesome, and look great. the only thing really different is that the alternator works harder so it burns out quicker so i hear.

I haven't seen a post yet about a Z having any damage related to the pulley. There are many members here running them for years without problems (myself included)

I have the UR Crank pulley and suggest it. I don't feel there is a need for the pulley "ket/set." With the crank pulley it will smooth out your idle and RPM band. I say go for it.

I've been running the UR crank pulley for over a year now, and no problems whatsoever. the most thing you'll feel is better throttle response.

I would say no cause its a smaller pulley and the kit is built around the OEM size. I would contact Stillen to get an "offical" answer though.

all of you who approve of the Pulleys, ......are you running the SS kit with all the pulleys or just the crank?
from what ive been reading it seems best to leave the others and go only with the crank?

Just the crank. Reason for me incase I decide to add an aftermarket audio system.

When you go with an underdrive pulley, they are smaller and require a shorter belt to pull up the slack. So Im sure it could be made to work if the belt were sized properly.

^^^ Good point make sure to order the Gates belts!!! These are the only belt I've heard not giving any problems with a pulley set-up.

no it will not work with a stillen, thee ss box which is locked is programed with the stock pulley in mind.if you put a smaller pulley on it the fmu will not be reading what it is supposed to and will go very lean(thats from sam at stillen)and then you go boom.

i wouldnt put a underdrive pulley on if you intend to have a audio system, i would just put on a lightend crank pulley like cnr(crazy nut racing) sells which is oem size so it takes the factory belt, but is like 5+ lbs lighter to achieve the same results as the underdrives.

the underdriving is so mild, that unless you are trying to drive a mega amp, without a cap, or without an extra battery, it has no plausible affect on how the system charges

I've yet to see a single Z, pulley or not, need a new alternator FWIW

That being said, 2.5 years with my UR pulley....not a single issue
