Default Suspension Airbags..

Prior to owning my Z, I owned a 1999 Ford Lightning. It was a bit of both Show and Go. During my first year of ownership I decided to install an Airbag setup on all four corners..This helped me to get down to the ground during show times, and also provided a level of control for performance times that I was never able to achieve with my previous hot rods ( Charger, and a GTO).

I chose the airbags with the show aspect in mind, but they ended up being a great performer during track times (11.910 @ 112.58 thank you very much =).

My 350 is a show car. Of course, Im planning a full motor/tranny overhaul once I choose a turbo kit.(Ah, the need for speed will never be satisfied...).

Id like to hear your input on the possibilities with an airbag system in this car. I welcome the advice/guidance of anyone....even those of you who have never owned a "bagged" car.

(P.S) Any NEW JERSEY crew have an idea who is doing reliable custom import modifications these days? The guys I used for my Lightnings set up (Franks Tuning in Newark) are no longer there....any help as always appreciated. =)
Thanks again.
Fall.

Here's a performance-oriented air bag system someone else on my350z found a month or so ago. Their first application will be Subaru WRX. They don't yet know if the 350Z will be supported or not.

Have you seen the new trend now. Hydraulic coilovers. HKS, Skipper, Apexi all are working on them. The skipper system will work with nearly any coilover. So if you get the Tein setup you can adjust shock damping inside from the drivers seat plus adjust ride height of any wheel using the skipper hydraulics.

Default yes...

I was hoping this would get mentioned...
I know very little about the adjustable coilover systems...

I read up on the Tein stuff, and the idea seems to be what Im after..

My question is this..
How custom can the ride heights/corners be?

I mean, do you think its feasible with systems like these to Have my car hugging the ground (I MEAN PANCAKED!) in one moment, then up and prowling around the next...
Im loooking for that kind of functionality...
Unfortunately I do not have SPORT CAR experience with this kind of thing...
The truck was easy...this is a whole new ball of wax.

Thanks for your ideas Valuetl
