How many miles do you think the non rev-up can go without needing a rebuild (with excellent maintenance of course)? I'm hoping I can get @ 150K with my current motor (I'm at 47k right now) without needing a rebuild. Thanks!

 

The VQ30DE in our '99 I30 has 170K and still going strong. I know its not what you're asking for, but it goes to show how realiable nissans are.

 

Should be good for more than that depending if you drive more highway miles than city miles, how well you maintain it and check for early signs of problems, how often you get on it before the engine is at operating temperature, how often you race or track it, etc.

Many factors will determine the life of your engine.

 

I'm sure in stock form with very minor mods, well maintanied you could get 200k out of the engine if not more. My dads 300zxtt was pushing around 430whp with 140k until it poped.

 

The gf's Z is at 93K miles or so. She had her tranny replaced at 60k, but the engine is still going pretty well.
