Default Oil Catch Can Question

Can someone show me where the hoses connect? I got the 15mm Greddy one and the instructions are in... well not English.... Thanks in advance.

Hose running from PVC on passenger side valve cover to lower plenum is removed. One hose goes from PVC on valve cover to Catch can. Other goes from Catch can to lower collector. That is the easiest way to do it. You can also get both sides(vent on drivers side valve cover under intake) by following instructions above, but t-ing off the drivers side vent hose into the one going from PVC valve to CC line. That way you "catch" both sides of fumes and the air still gets sucked in via lower plenum.

Wow, um.... Do you have PICS of that lol.... Just a little confused. The only reason I got this is cause when I changed my plenum I noticed oil sitting in the lower plenum and was like "that can't be that good" Well thanks a lot. I hope I can find pics somewhere.

The Passenger side hose is easily traced, the hose connects almost directly in the front of the lower plenum and runs to the passenger side most forward spark plug. The driver side line is below the TB. Someone please confirm all this
There is one other line that connects to the Upper Plenum but goes into the battery housing, creeps toward the firewall and vanishes but I don't know what that does.

that is the vacuum line for your brakes!

there is another pcv line. It connects the 2 valvecovers to eachother. It is on the front of the valve covers, under the intake manifold.

Also, the actual PCV valve is located in the passenger side cover. You can unscrew it with a wrench.

+1 The one on the drivers side doesn't have a PCV valve in it. The one that causes the oil deposits on the top and lower plenum is the drivers side hose. The passenger side hose from the PCV valve causes oil to deposit in the center of the lower manifold with the goldish cover.

I have a carbin catch can on the passenger side and I disconnected the drivers side hose because it is an exit hose no vacuum is necessary. I also covered the hole on the intake tube so I won't throw a cell with a vacuum leak.

This is my old engine layout but the catch can is in the same spot. I'll try to take pics of the drivers side when I get home from work tonight.

Sweet, thanks, I hope the pics of the driver side shows where the hoses actually run to.

Maybe we can get this moved to the DIY thread.

I bought an oil catch can (universal) and have nowhere to install it. There is no room in the engine bay with the greddy twins installed. Can I put a breather filter on the passenger side valve cover and place a rubber plug on the intake manifold? This will stop the oil build up in the manifold. Is there any problems associated with this?

The passenger side definitely needs some vacuum to work properly so I wouldn't vent it if I were you. Just create a simple catch can, or you can route it to your bumper and bolt-on the catch can around the bumper area.

On the drivers side, you can use a breather filter and plug the hole in your intake tube.

are all catch can the same? What is the difference between the ebay version vs say greddy or arc? Is it just the name? Also does it matter where u place the catch can?
