service engine light came on last night after racing another Z what could it be? its scheduled for its first maintainance, check up, tune up, doctors appointment whatever the first week of december. could have anything to do with that? needing oil maybe?

 

Take it to Autozone, they can read the code for you. Once you know the code, we can give you an idea of the problem. Otherwise, there are about 1000 different things that can cause a CEL.

The CEL light does not come on to indicate normal maintenance - problems only.
