Default Gauge Set-Up needs a Wire that stays on during crank...

So, my Autometer Nexus gauge setup needs a constant hot (which is easy) and a switched +12V that stays hot during vehicle crank. In other words, it is off when key is off, and on when key is on, and even stays on while the engine is cranking.

Anyone have any idea which wire this might be? I am looking for one behind the radio, or one behind the passenger or driver side dash. Apparently the switched +12V I tapped into doesn't stay hot during crank.

This is for my G35, by the way, but I get better technical info here on my350z.com than I do on G35driver.com

You should not need a wire that stays on during cranking. The autometers will just reset again once the car is started. You could try the fuel pump wire possibly but I dont recommend it.

According to the instruction manual for the Nexus gauges, it states that it needs a switched wire that stays hot during crank...
