Default 03 Stock Clutch hard to press down - How to lighten the pedal?

Would I change clutches to another, and how much is that? the 03 clutch pedal is hard to push down.

It is heavier than others, but an aftermarket clutch that is meant for more torque would be even heavier..guess you just have to get used to it?

well i upgraded clutches on my old 03 GTI 1.8T and it had more clamping force and it had a lighter feel than stock!

Do u have problems with ur legs ??? Hmmmmm ????? If u dont and it's hard to press down , u have a prob.

One thing that could be is the fact it is 4 yrs old and has lost it's lube. On new installs , I always clean the splined shaft spotlessly, then lube it with a very thin layer of Hi-Temp synthetic grease, same with the pivots AND the Throw-out brg shaft. All that makes all the difference in the world.

Iv had people complain for two weeks cuz it dont "feel right" til they get used to it, then love it.
