Yeah, I dont think this engine would last too long. This is +220 WHP, which is almost double the stock. When you compare stock 244 WHP to the 465 Turbo, you come up with ~ 547 flywheel HP. Which is 156 HP / Liter. That's actually not a lot for a turbo charged engine. but this engine wasnt built to be Turbo charged. Hopefully this all means that running about 350-400 @ the wheels is pretty safe. We'll see. However, I think their fuel management approach is a little old. HKS F-CON and EVC? I would think at these numbers they'd be doing something more direct. Either a new ECU, or reprogramming it. Anyone want to comment on HKS v/s the Greddy E-Manage solution?

Nice to see we are finally getting somewhere it turbos but I'll sit on my hands for a bit
Sad thing is by the time a solid turbo is released the GT-R will be out... bye bye Fairlady... Hello Skyline

I also read somewhere that they are working on forged pistons etc becuase they know the car can't last with stock internals pushing that kind of power. I'll try to find the article and post it.
sorry to burst your bubbles guys but i talked to toshi the ceo of a'pexi usa and he said apex japan is having trouble past 400 on stock internals they keep bending rods.
so im guessing top secret is pushing it tothe limit.

Thats what I have heard too. Apparently the rods are a weak point, and for this reason also, the engine does not ike higher RPMs either. This thing does not have Z32 quality internals which is a shame
I have been in discussion with someone working on reverse engineering the stock ECU code, and he mentioned that the internals were less than impressive. Even though adjusting the timing will be able to change and lower absolute cylinder pressures, to get reliable power out of the engine in current trim, rods and pistons will most likely be changed. A mild boost turbo kit should be fine, but anyone who's had a turbo knows that boost is addictive - 5-7psi is never enough.
Lets hope they sell millions of these cars/engines, so crate motors are cheap

1 bar and other mods on this motor will get it to 500hp, im thinking. so i feel good on that, then its time for my next projects
an RX7 Fd built for club racing and
probably a sil 15-80 drift car or just import an S15.
