Got a new long block from warrantee due to oil consumption, and here is my review. First of all Nissan did great work, and have no complaints what so ever. Coming home from SF I noticed I hit 850 miles on the new engine, so I decided to do a couple pulls to near red line...


*The car seems to run stronger (could be my imagination but I don’t think so)
*After winding up the engine, and letting the car come back down to normal idle speed no matter what gear I noticed a little roughness from around the 3500-3600 RPM range...this has disappeared.
*No more black stuff caked on the rear bumper

Boy it felt good to WOT the Z once again...850 miles might be cutting it short, but I think im in the green. I did get an oil change at around 600 miles, and babied the heck out of it until tonight.
