Default Clutch characteristic

I've just got a brand new clutch (ORC) put in and this clutch is pretty hard to get it moving from a stop. I have had the nismo clutch prior to this. Obviously its not slipping.

I am fairly used to driving MT so skill is not too much of a factor. Rob and the others at ZCG are also experiencing the same issue when driving my car.

It has that feeling when you're riding the clutch and the car sort of judders when you're trying to move it from a stop.

I tried something which is to keep the revs constant at 2k rpm and set go of the clutch, to my surprise i drops from 2k rpm to almost 600. My previous clutches, the nismo and the stock clutch usually has a drop of say 400-600 rpm only.

The mechanic at ZCG told me that its something about the clutch's plate being metallic or something like that so it tries to bite immediately. It doesn't slip at all. Is this true? a clutch that doesn't really slip cause what I'm experiencing?

The clutch is extremely smooth once you get it moving, I dare say it's as smooth if not smoother than the s2k.
