Default Central 20 3.9FD

I have found the central 20 FD on a few different sites, and i notice that the price differences are pretty large. On 350evo i believe it was, they sell it for around 800$ and on my nismo i think it was around that also.

BUT! on Vividracing they have it for 500$!!

My question to you, is will i need to buy anything else, or is this all i need to have a working 3.9 final drive. Im wondering this because for such a drastic price diff, i would think one is complete and one is not. If it helps, i have a 2004 enthusiest model 350z.

Check closer.......the 350evo gears are not Central 20 brand - they are 350evo's own brand (I think mynismo.com carries the Nismo brand gears). As far as I know, neither set (350evo or Central 20) comes with anything but the final drive gears. Gonna need the gearing spacer shims (multiple sizes) & possibly assorted other items: pinion bearing, oil seal, crush sleeve, nut, new gear oil, etc.

I'm sure a few sites have the extra items, but I bought my stuff from 350evo when I bought the 3.9 gears from them & had them install it - the items are on their website, but I'd call them first before ordering...they've been cutting down on their 350z stuff & I don't know how well they stock items now. I'm sure mynismo.com would have the various items as well - I don't believe they have those extra items on their website, so call & check. And make sure you have a reputable, experienced shop do your install - it's crucial to get the gears shimmed correctly...do a search on the 3.9 gears, read some of the stories & you'll see what I mean.

This is a decent site for parts...

I called up my local dealership and had them match TMs prices. I'm in the process of picking everything up and delivery the pumpkin to my guy this week. I'm hoping this 3.9FD will shed some light on my acceleration woes...
I can already hang with the basic 911 and Cayman S, and I have a 3.3FD setup.
