also, is the greddy evo a td?

I have video of the dyno runs. I am just to tired to do anything tonight. I will try tomorrow. I need to do a drive by as well.

I will say after driving the car for about an hour tonight it is definitely louder than my stillen, crawford cats, and dc sport headers I had on my last car. The new car being a convertible made it really easy to hear the exhaust. All and all it is loud and I am very happy.

Sharif will post dyno info tomorrow.

One with the exhaust and one with the exhaust and test pipes.

yeah..we are all pooped. It was a long day of lift, dyno, lift, dyno, cutting welding, and general craziness. :)

Tomorrow I'll post the charts and results.

boooo booo. Oh well, thanks for the blue balls! Now get to bed!

MAn you guys worked on that car all day. The TD was looking great before I left you guys. Hope to see some good gains with the new exhaust set up.

The test pipes took a little time; we were done by 8. Danya and I just went out driving the car after.

you're not kidding about that the engine being louder. When I put the exhaust off my 06 which was 2.5" custom x-pipe w/3 resonators is twice as loud to the point i'm looking for mufflers.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, here are the results:

Jeremy had us install a Greddy EvoTT exhaust, with the intention of going FI later. I was REALLY suprised with how well this exhaust performed, even in pure NA trim. Very nice gains up top. But the test pipes really brought this engine to life. A good power improvement all the way across the board. So the net gain, with ZERO tuning, was 18whp.

I will post up some more pics shortly.

Hey Sharif,
Were these the standard 350z test pipes? Anything special needed to fit the new motor?

The upper flange that connects to the headers is completely different. So we had to cut the flange off the cats, and weld it to the test pipes, in order to make it fit. Wasnt too bad. Just fit it up there, tack welded the flange in place, and then tig welded it on the bench.

what kind of test pipes where these where they just custom ones. Also this is on a 3inch through greddyTT exhaust right. Im guessing the test pipes where 2.5 in out 3inch. not sure never seen the greddyTT exhaust but this sparks my intrest def.

Off the shelf TurboXS Test pipes that we modified by attaching the stock upper flange to the test pipe. The Greddy EVOTT is a 2.75 inch true dual, designed primarily for FI, but after seeing these results, might not be bad for NA applications too, especially those that may upgrade to FI in the future.

Oh, and sorry about the beer....we usually dont get dirty on Saturdays, but good customers can bribe us to work...with a good import beer. Those that know me, know that it takes me the better part of an entire day, to actually drink 1 full bottle of beer...haha!

zman1910 04-01-2007 10:47 AM

wow 18whp just from an exhaust and pipes.....

zman1910 04-01-2007 10:53 AM

Can you possibly get a video of the exhaust and what are your impressions on how it sounds....we dont have any NA vids of this exhaust

RBlover69 04-01-2007 11:17 AM

nice , man cant wait for the vids and pics. Damn, i may look into the EvoTT lol. I was thinking this exhaust would loose tq down low and add hp.

Gumpdriver 04-01-2007 11:20 AM

Bro, that is crazy power. Is heartbreaker broken or something? Sure is putting out some good numbers now. With some headers and intake mods 300hp may be possible N/A.
