How about the 3.7 motors?

scotts300 04-02-2007 01:22 PM

Sharif - can you post the stock and modded dynos with the torque curves?
Thanks,

SS

Is is possible to see what gains there are with two intakes or something? Like Nismo one side and one Injen on the other side or something? Is it also possible to dyno it with a space to see what it gets?

Yeah I would love to get some of these 80% new parts on my DE to get some gains.

+1. The VQ35HR is old news already. LOL. The VQ37HR w/VVEL is the motor to drool over.

Pre '07+ intakes don't fit.

FastZ33 04-02-2007 11:29 PM

Too bad Nissan does not put it in the Z.

they need to stop being soft with the engine power and just release the 380z Rs and make the 3.8 te new Z . If i was nissan i would stop playing games with the competetion and just be ahead of the game not be on par with it. Nissan better do the 3.8 man because that engine makes the HRs 3.5 and 3.7 look like amatures.

GodSendsDeath 04-03-2007 05:23 AM

Wow, I must sat I'am very impressed. Even though I come from E46M that lays down nearly 270 NA stock whp. But this is also a 30k less car. Just WOW, nissan did a great job.

Had a chance to drive Jeremy's car yesterday. Two things struck me immediately:

1) The engine is very smooth and strong ALL the way to redline....unlike the reg VQ35 that gets a little tired and buzzy.

2) The new transmission is vastly improved. Unbelievably improvement in a big way. All the gears engagement like butter, and downshifting is a breeze. No fighting for the gates....just slides right into place.

RBlover69 04-03-2007 06:57 AM

the best thing about the 06+ isnt the refinements. Its the fact that we have lit cupholders bro. lol jk good stuff.

Riley07 04-03-2007 07:04 AM

What's up??

Damn Sharif, I just noticed you were in Ga!!!LOL It's good to know since I plan on modding my 07....I'm in Gainesville (North Ga.) and would like to visit sometime when your not too busy...Talk to you later!

Our new technician, Michael, as an 04 G35 with I/E/H/Plenum and laid down 243whp on our dyno last week. :)

well i look at it this way, i dyno'd at 265, say i add test pipes and exhaust, that puts me at 285ish, i really doubt that headers are gonna make much of an improvement considering the pile of crap the de headers were and the aftermarket couldn't get much gains out of anything better. the hr headers are tubular with collectors, so i don't see much of an improvement there. so what else could i bolt on to make another 15whp to get to the magic 300whp, i suppose when someone cracks the new ecu, we maybe able to gain a decent amount with a reflash, but untill that point i don't see much happening

sorry i'm just bitter cause i lost a race to a turbo'd riced out civic, i need more power

Just be patient man.. something will be out soon.. trust me.. ;)

Those are dynojet numbers. The dyno's posted here are on a dyno dynamics machine which dyno's less like the original poster said.

i dyno'd my 07 on a dyno jet and got 265 like it says in my sig, so the 07 z and the e46 m3 is comparable as far as dyno numbers go

scotts300 04-03-2007 09:41 AM

2nd call for a torque curve?

That was my point.
