We do not have prototypes for the '07 yet though since it has a different flange and possibly a different length (haven't tested that yet, waiting for a lift to clear).
Awesome! I'd be very interested in the Cobb mettalic cats (for the 02-06 models) once they are available for purchase. Can you please keep me posted? Thanks!

I will try to remember, but honestly, if you check the Cobb forums from time to time we will make a big announcement on there when we release anything. We don't update too often on there, but for something like a release that will be the first place that sees it.

That is a picture of our VERY prototype version. I made some changes to it after that. And it of course is not complete. But you can at least see that progress is being made Let me know if you have questions on anything. I don't know much about the AccessPort, but for the hard parts I should be able to answer any questions. And AP questions, I can probably find you the answer.

The intakes that your developing, how will it utilize the air ducts??? I would think that it would be more beneficial for the engine to be closer to the ducts..

The plan is to have a fully enclosed box around the filter and velocity stack section that cups over the ducts, just like the stock air box does.

Cobb is an extremely reputable company. It is regarded as one of the best parts developers on Subarus and has really established a paradigm for cost effective tuning for dummies in a form of an Accessport. Accessport is just a map mangement and flashing device. You buy the hardware and the maps Cobb provides are free. I think the OP has nothing to worry about as far as the competence of the shop. You're in good hands.

I'm curious to see what Cobb comes up with for accessport. I had one for WRX and it worked very well. Stage I was just a stock car reflash. It made a significant improvement in the engine perfromance. Stage 2 map required an exhaust that elimiated most CATs and that was night and day improvement. I wonder if stage 1 option will be available for the Z as well as a StreetTuner software which allows you to do extensive map adjustments. Accessport is very different from things like UTEC since it's a stock ECU reflash, not a piggyback. I wonder how far along is Cobb with the Z accessport. Any ETA on that?

No ETA. All the programming issues for the ECU are all done. We are able to tune the '03-'06 Z's with no problem. But we don't have production hardware in hand yet. So as soon as we get that and test it, then we can release the AP. Not sure how long before the '07 is all figured out.

Nice to see more Z support out there. I'd be interested on the COBB intake and see if it fights heat soak (since most other intakes out there don't have a great solution). Also would be very interested on the HFC's....could you give us a link to the store?

Actually, the one on my car does not. But the production part will. Not only will it have the box surrounding the filter, but the MAF housing is a good grade of composite (plastic) that does not heat soak. Also, the main tube will likely not be aluminum as it is on my prototype. The only one of those parts my prototype has is the MAF housing.

Anyway to get information on the 350z parts? The website is useless as you stated above.

Well, as none of the parts are production ready, we have very little info about them. As soon as they are released, we will have info on the website. And if we come to any shows around your area, we could talk to you about them. But really, this thread may be your best source of info for a few months.

Yes, we will dyno test all parts.
