Default Clutch is hard to get off on 1st gear.

Guys, I recently installed a stage 1 exedy clutch and an ACT flywheel. The question is why is it so hard to get the car going at first gear. Is it because is is new and still too sticky or what? Damm!!! I feel like im just beginning to learn how to drive stick. After the first gear the rest go in smoother than stock though.

The difference in engagement from your stock clutch will take some time to get used to. This is especially true if you now have a lightweight flywheel. Itll take quicker and more precise foot timing to launch the car from a stop in 1st gear. it'll be fun once you get used to it.

Having a much lighter flywheel means less rolling inertia. A heavier flywheel helps get the car moving from a dead stop since it has more weight to get it going from the start.
