Default Nissan techs, I need you.

Well since I installed the Amuse exh. it requires modification or removal of the evap. canister, which I removed completely with no running issues whatsoever. The CEL did come on as I would expect but does'nt bother me. Heres my problem recently the light has'nt been on which leads me to believe the light is burnt out. It does'nt come on period,{still no running issues}. Knowing a burnt CEL bulb leaves an open circuit should I worry about problems down the road since I do not want to remove the cluster at this time for a simple bulb replacement. Thanks, David.

When you first turn the ignition to the ON position, all the dash lights should come on. That will verify that it's the bulb burnt out, not that the CEL condition is clear.

Honestly, I would fix it because you never know what might go wrong down the line. It's a simple fix to just relocate the evap cannister. Fix the bulb, relocate the cannister and you should be fine. Good luck.

Oh I know the CEL cond. did not clear itself and wont as long as the canister is gone, but the CEL on never bothered me until it went out. It's not on period. To me the canister is a useless POS anyway {we don't test here }. I'll get around to pulling the cluster I guess. Maybe when I'm done I'll have a new squeak or rattle LOL.
