Default do i need a new clutch?

ok i already did a search so forgive me if this is repetitive. my clutch engagemnt point is way too high. i have to let the clutch all the way out to have it engage. in my experience this means the car needs a new clutch. but i have reading about this mod on here that allows you to adjust the height of the clutch. is this all i need to do? or do i need a new clutch? which by the way is not covered under extended warranties. thanks

you sure its not all the way to the top it sure feels that way? mean my car only has 12,000 miles on it, seems like not enough to neeed a new clutch.
