question regarding grounding kit
Hi, newbie here......I just purchased the 350Z Enthusiast model about 1 week ago. So far I have around 170 miles on the car and I was wondering if it's ok for me to install a grounding kit on the car already. Or should I wait until my engine breaks in first? Just wanted to make sure I will not affect the engine in any bad way.
P.S.- Oh, also wanted to ask.....before I purchased the Z last week, the salesman took me on two test drives and floored the car around/above 4,500rpm like 3-4 times. Did this damage the engine in any way? If so, how? Please respond. Thanks.

To answer your questions...
A grounding kit will not affect your engine's performance negatively at all.
And taking it up to 4500 rpms is really no big deal. Break in suggests that you not take it over 4000 rpms the first 1200 miles, but there are several "schools" of thought on the whole break in process to begin with.
And just and FYI, this belongs in the Engine Forum. Thread moved.
