I just purchased my z which is a 2003 about 2 weeks ago. This website has great information, which help me make the decision on purchasing a motordyne 5/16 spacer, which comes in this week, and a nismo cold air intake. In your guys opinions what should i do next? I am all about speed and horsepower. I was also thinking about putting in some light wieght racing seats, because the racing seats in my touring model (heated and motorized) are very heavy.
I know TT sounds like a great way to get a lot of HP quick, but build your car for it first. Exhaust would be a good next move. I got the plenum spacer and the new intake manifold, then I got the True Dual Track Edition Injen Exhaust and I made so much of a difference!! On Gas, Sound (which sounds mean as h#LL but not crazy stupid loud) and actually performance.
If staying N/A get test pipes (or hfc)...the best bang for the $$ on the Z. Then exhaust, light weight wheels, pulleys...
edit*...if you want to go FI, keep the car stock until you can afford to play the FI game.

I am probably goin to save up for the stillen true duel exhaust system 1200 bux, then get racing seats. What is the advantage of getting aftermarket pulleys, are the oem pulleys terrible or something?

No they aren't terrible its just that by by having a lighter crank pulley it frees up a couple horses. Oh and a quick a about the test pipes. Wouldn't they make the car loud as hell?? And when I bought mine it already had the ingen true dual exhaust on it so could I be able to put test pipes on it???
test pipes and exhaust...will add some extra ponies...think about getting the MREV2 as well for your lower plenum body...then pulleys, and then headers if your going to stay NA
and like stated...build your engine UP first to be able to handle a turbo or even a TT

I left the exhaust on and took off the pipes, and the car has no raasp or vibration at 3K, and it smoothed it out so much throughout the rpm band.. now it only sounds like a deeper, throatier Z, not like a fully-prepped race car.
The test-pipe/ cat-back configuration is good if you don't plan on being around 3K rpms much.. I shift at 3K a lot and normally I think it makes me sound like a fart-can honda when I shift with the raspiness... When I am reving past 3K everyone turns their head.. It lets everyone around know that I am serious! It is shocking how loud it is straight through!
