I have a 3.5 final drive diff in my 03 5AT. Has anyone swapped one into an 07 5AT? Ive had no issues and was considering getting an 07 and wanted make sure it would work. Thanks.

 

07 rear end is the same. Nismo LSD and 4.083 gears going into mine.

 

So I guess nobody has actually swapped it then? Just want to know if anyone had any issues like how some have lost cruise control on earlier models.

 

I have the Nismo LSD and 4.083 ring and pinion in my Z. Works like a charm. 6MT will not lose cruise control. Only the 5AT's do.

 

I swapped a 6MT rear diff into my 5AT and didnt lose cruise control. Just wanted to verify what would happen with an 07.

 

Are all 350z MT diffs interchangeable.... the entire pumpkin? There is nothing special about the 07 lsd is there? I would rather buy a used one and swap the gears since I am keeping all my original 07 parts to throw back on whenver I sell this car in about 2 years.

How does your car feel now with the 4.0??

You need to dyno your car with all those mods!!

Also take it to the track!!!

 

The car feels MUCH MUCH stronger with the 4.08's. To the point traction is a nightmare going into 2nd lol. You're going to need much better tires than the stock potenzas (which I'm still on). Given the new redline the 07's should of at least come with a 3.91 FD, 4.08 is even better

I only made one pass for ****s and giggles. I knew I couldn't launch my car because of my clutch issues.

 

where did you get the gears and how much where they? Who did the install?
