Question Tranny problem?

Hey guys sorry if this has been asked before, but as you can see I'm new here. Anyway I am having a problem with a loud clanking noise when I push in the clutch in 1st gear. It happens every morning when the tach is near 2300 and I have to push in the clutch to stop. Does anyone else have this problem or know of what it could be?

Thanks
Ben

I have the same thing. Especially if the car is cold and I press the clutch in fast. Also, it helps to have the window down the hear it.

I think it might simply be play in the drive train. Also, one guy had problems with a noisy heat shield. That could be it too.

Just press the clutch slowly when driving at a leisurely pace.
