Default Zoom clutch???

for about 450 the local auto parts store sells a flywheel that only weighs 10.5lbs and has a replaceable surface made by a company called Zoom Clutch. And another 450 for a stage 1 clutch by the same company that is a full surface clutch made from carbon/kevlar. I am having my underdrive pulleys put on monday, 12/3/07, and was wondering if this would also help my setup?

zoom has been around for a long time, and have been making reliable clutches for mustang and other domestics for years. I think there are even carried by summitracing.

kevlar disks are horrendous on daily driven cars (based on my experience at least)

I don't see how you could blend carbon and kevlar either - sounds like marketing spiel. Unless its a full radius disk with alternating sections of material

that's what it is adam... it's a "dual friction" design... that is supposed to make it easier to drive as a daily, but also perform when you need it to... does it work... that is the question.

I can't say how that would work...off the top of my head, it sounds inherently inconsistent, but I'd have to drive it to know.
