i would go ahead and bypass it rod, not sure on the intake lines i would have to look but generally coolant anywhere in the intake to heat it is bad. its for warmup emissions nothing more, after that it just eats away at power. my car hasnt had any coolant going to the intake for awhile now and no issues even without running idle air control

The HR is an ugly wiring/hose mess!

The other hoses are the evap hoses and I'll be eliminating them aft I read up and trace the lines...

I found this cosworth item worked quite well for me. Heat transfer was noticeable when touched by hand

Your on the right track but it does depend where you live, its really hot here so it in fact will help your intake temp, fuel atomization will not be compromised by doing the coolant bypass in Qld Australia
