Default When is too early for a flywheel?

I still have one dealer left to convince that they need to fix my 22K mile clutch under warranty, but if that fails...

Should I replace just the disc & plate? Do I really need to replace the flywheel with only 22k? I was thinking of JWT if I have to pay myself.

I guess its never too early depending on the condition of the part. How do you expect them to cover it under warranty? I could see if it failed within a 1000 miles or so, but 22,000 is a few too many.

Change it even if your OEM clutch/flywheel was brand new! I can't stand stock flywheel...revs up so slow haha

I replaced mine at 15,000 and recommend to others to replace as soon as the bucks are available. Two major bangs for the buck, Flywheel and MD Spacer

wow, 22k and you already need a new clutch? the warranty should still cover it (i think it's 4 yrs, 48k miles?), unless they say that it is caused by "unnatural causes" (ie-racing and such).

but if you end up paying and you have to replace the clutch, you might as well replace the flywheel since the tranny is already dropped. no use in paying double labor. but to answer your question - no, you shouldn't have to replace the flywheel at 22k unless it's in the same sh*tty condition as your clutch.
