Another 4.08 GEAR review
Well I have an 06 n/a Z. Rev up with testies, catback, mrev 2 and 5/16 spacer, tuned by a utec...
I wanted some more GRUNT....so I looked into the 4.08 gear options...I studied hard and decided to purchase them..
ADAM at Z1 ROCKS in LONG ISLAND, NY...
I had them installed and here is my review...
My uncorrected dyno numbers are below and the car moved before....NOW it is really sick...such quick acceleration through out the gears....
LIGHTINING QUICK....like ACEMAN said only about 500 rpm diff through out...
IT really allows you to be in any gear and take adv. of teh VQ's rev range and low end tq....
What a mod..I highly recommend it to anyone staying N/A....
Track times to come !!!!
p.s: Not that I condone SR..but I did happen to encounter a S/C 02 Gt...and from 20-90...he loses.....

At 80...the only diff...is I dont have to downshift to pass...
if i was cruisin a 90..then I could see how over a longer period of time it would be annoying...
No reason why anyone should not get some gears..
Cept if going f.i or no cash...

Any noticeable loss in gas mileage at highway cruising? I think that would be the only drawback to these gears...
I'm planning on getting a UTEC and having it tuned by MRC, however, I might wait (save up a little) and get these gears with the UTEC and tune...??
