Default another happy crawford customer

just recieved and installed the crawford intake manifold today. very quik and easy install(around 45min) with basic tools. note to others, dont forget the 2 vacume bolts. even though i have seen numerous people forget i still missed them and had to pull the topp back off to put them on. car feels much stronger from around 4grand and up, expecially the last 1500 rpms before redline. i would say this is the best bang for the buck mod i have done yet. more so by far then my aem intake, or injen exaust. doug was very helpful over the phone and helped with all my stupid questions. peace

Mine's on it's way, scheduled to arrive on the 5th. I have yet to read a negative post on this product. I'm with you, at this point in time, this is the best bang for the buck we have.

No question is a stupid question...

Doug has always been there for me... when I was installing my plenum he got good laughs for a solid half hour!

I can't wait to get mine!! Sounds like the intake plenum was a bottleneck in the design. Hopefully that will help CAI's and exhausts work better as well.

What is so difficult about the plenum that you would have questions? I'm not trying to talk down to you. I'm just honestly wondering because I popped off my plenum to polish it and I don't know what vacuum bolts you're referring to.

Thanks.

The stock plenum utilizes six bolts from the top. The Crawford plenum utilizes four. If you don't "plug" those two bolts from the inside you will create a BAD vaccum.

That's what he is referring to!

I think we even laughed the second time you put it on. (I think it had to do with our discussion more than installation, but I do recall you fighting with the rubber hoses for a good 10 minutes.)

Might have been the beer too!

Here's a stupid question -
Is the pleneum is $500 and you get $200 for sending your stock one back -
or $700 and you get $200 for sending your stock one back, leaving you with the $500 cost.

Doug's a good guy. It's $500.00, and he'll trust you to return the old one. If you want to keep the old one, it's $700.00.

It is starting to look like if the other plenum from j's350z doesn't show up soon, everyone will be running the Crawford plenum. I am giving j's350z another week and then I am going with Crawford offering. If they both make the same power I will go with Crawfords since everone speaks so highly of Doug.

Doug is great, and if you ask real nicely, maybe you can still get it for $400.

Does the replacement front strut brace come with the intake, or is the cost additional for that? I'm seriously considering getting one of these, but I want to make sure I have the correct funds in place...
