short shifter
is there any short shifter kit on the market other than dweeb's? speaking of his, I haven't heard much about that lately... anybody have one care to comment? is he still selling them? thanks.
I have a Q-Shifter from Dweeb and really like it.
I do however have the problem with the rattle and requested the replacement bushings and control socket. On 6/25 Dweeb had said he was going to make them available to whomever had purchased the unit and was having problems. The control sockets were on backorder though.
I had also not heard any response from Dweeb in a while so I e-mailed him on 7/22 to see how the parts were coming along and he said he had just come back from traveling and was then going to start making/testing the new parts. He wants to test all new parts prior to shipping to make sure they work ok.
I since have not heard anything from him but I'm sure it takes a while to do all the work.
BTW, he probably doesn't check his pm's too much so I would probably go to his website and try to contact him that way.

If you decide to go with the Q-Shifter make sure to buy the bushings and control socket to go with. Better safe than sorry.
Alternatively... if the new parts don't absolutely cure the rattle.... I will be hounding these guys to find out when they will have a kit available.
