I have an aem cold air intake that is in the bottom of the fender well, and i just got done repainting my front bumper, i think im going to leave the yellow reflectors out until I get the clear ones, question is, if there is a whole right where my intake cone is, will i have any trouble when it rains?

I'm speaking in terms of living in Baton Rouge. I remember this period years back when I had 2-3 friends hydrolock their cars in Baton Rouge within months of each other because of how much it rains here. In addition, CAIs usually lose power on the Z.

I wonder if I've seen your Z around before. I'm usually around the LSU area

I did have gold wheels, I'm "stock" but all beat up to hell right now. Getting it fixed and repainted before Zdayz. When did you get a Z

 

i bought the z about 7 months ago, its a blast i got exhaust, intake, jwt clutch flywheel etc. still havent gotten your bumper fixed huh? man im telling you we need to start a z club here in br and meet like once a month think we could make it happen?

 

Technically we have a little crew in BR but we don't officially consider ourselves a club or anything. We try to meet up once a month and hang out and all that good stuff. Biggest club around is NOLAZCC. Although most of the meets are in NOLA, it's well worth the drive. I'll link you to our thread because its where we post the most. Don't be intimidated by the craziness

Nope, haven't gotten it fixed because I'm going to repaint the whole thing. Same color of course.

Speaking of... a few of the guys are talking about driving out to St. Francisville to enjoy some of the roads this weekend. More than welcome to come

ok, never had trouble with my cai. and ive had it for a while now but ive always had my reflector in, still asking should not having the reflector in and having a hole right by the cai effect it?

The reflector won't matter much of anything but like I said, CAIs are known to lose power on the Z's. Most run short ram setups.

 

 

Dont have any advice on the CAI or Clutch.

blasian- its ok that you think cai's arnt as effective as short air intakes on z's, but thats just because u pussomatic guys dont drive hard enough to heat up that engine bay!
