Default messed up clutch/ when did your clutch go out?

so im doing a burn out and i go to shift into second and the shifter wouldn't go into gear. i try to push in the clutch and its stuck to the floor... so i ended up just forcing into second thinking my clutch went out (it smelt like burnt clutch real bad) just so i can get home and the pedal pops back up. this confused the crap out of me. if the clutch was engaged i would have been able to shift into second. so basically my problem is the pedal was engaged and the clutch was not. anybody out there have any similar problem or maybe know what caused it? the clutch works good now but it seems like the pedal travels out more and the engagement points seem a little different. about when do clutches go out on the 03s? thank you in advance for all that reply.

I suppose it is possible (however unlikely) he was doing a burnout on the track.
SO:

Do some searches and you will find that several people had problems with the clutch sticking to the floor under full throttle/hard acceleration, which could be what you are describing. As the vehicle is no longer under warranty, I would check to see what those people did as far as a solution.

As for any damage caused by forcing it into gear...that may be harder to tell. Synchros are probably first on the hit list for ya.

yup i own a 2006 350z base model and my clutch does the same thing as yours llessurluck. the dealership told me that it was a engagement feature that is in the 350z that makes it engage when launched hard..(burnouts)
