Default Need a clutch adjustment?

Hey guys and gals

I have a 2003 350z MANUAL tran with about 48K miles on it. I'm the original owner of the car.

A couple months ago I noticed that when I push the gas pedal down with any real force the rpm guage revs up (and the engine revs up too) before it engages. This is when the clutch pedal is fully let out. It's not just when Ichange gears either. I can just be driving (let's say 3rd or 4th gear) and when I push the "pedal to the metal" this happens.

When I'm driving normally or pushing the gas peddal "easing the throttle", this issue is very minimal. Again, it's only when i hit the gas hard. This isn't good because since the engine is "reved" when the clutch/wheels finally engage, it puts the car all over the road if not careful!

Is this a dirty fuel injector, a clutch issue? I have no clue! Oh, it also has a cold air intake but it was installed like 3 years ago and for 3 years this was never a problem.

Any help would be great thank you!

Sounds like you either need to adjust the clutch pedal (hopefully) or you need a new clutch. I've got 77,000 on my original clutch and I drive it pretty hard, including a couple of track events and ZDayZTail of the Dragon every year. A clutch should not wear out at 48K

The clutch engagement point can be adjusted within limits. It changes because of warn friction surface on the clutch plate.

May be time for a new clutch.
