Default New Clutch?

Hey guys I just got my car back from the shop where it had the clutch, syncros and bearings all replaced. As soon as I try to start the car in first, it starts to shake/shudder, not engaging smoothly at all. I talked to someone about it and they said it usually takes a few days for a clutch to glaze over, and become smooth, or something along those lines. Anyway, right now it is extremely choppy starting in first, and so are downshifts. Is this normal for a new clutch, or should I be worried?

The items that you mention require a break in period. In other words no 4,000 RPM starts for, say, 500 miles. Other than that the car should operate properly.
