Nissan designer says 350Z will soon have more hp!
Yes, A special edition Z such as the Nismo Z would be nice. I would like to think of it as the track model that should have always been being including:
1. Nismo suspension and sway bars.
2. Ray wheels or equal/better and better quality tires and size at least 245/275 combo that many use.
3. More hp
4. keep brembo's.
From a cost to manufacture perspective, the Nismo suspension does not cost more, tire's being larger is a small cost increase to them, Brembo's are already on track model, and if they went NA to add hp, it would not cost more to manufacture.
If Nissan added a SC instead of NA hp increase, they could easily add it and all of the above by simply increasing the track model's price by $1,000 and still make money. They should look at this as cheap adverstisement by selling this model.
The key to this for Nissan is to have even a better performing flagship for their product line and still have it be the economical sports car. They got to listen to customers and not listen to their "bean counters" as much.
