Default Is this clutch noise normal? (w/ VIDEO)

Car makes an audible hum when the clutch is engaged. What do you guys think?

Mine sounds like that, ever since I installed a new clutch and flywheel, But i didn't install a new throw out barring. Maybe that is why.

Yeah, its normal...just step down on clutch and then shut off car...it doesn't do it...i got used to doing it this way so you're not embarrassed after shutting off in front of people.

Welcome to the world of the VQ tranny. She is loud, clunks, and her 3rd and 5th are notoriously weak. Once you vibrate at her frequency these sounds will put you to sleep

The sound is normal, it's your transmission chattering. Search and you will find many threads with the same antagonist.

its cluth chatter, it gets worse with a lightened flywheel. yea shes a loud one

It's normal but yours is way louder than mine and I've got a 50% lighter flywheel. But as long as it shuts up when you press the clutch in, all is fine.

+1 sound normal but way louder than mine, it might be just audio. To me it is little loud, but can't do anything about that.
