Default Clutch Problems

Hey guys, the other day I took a buddy out for a drive in my car and it seemed to be really lacking in power. I later smelled the typical burnt clutch smell.

My car is stock 2006 grand touring with 23,000 miles on it. I have never really driven it hard. Is there any sort of issues with the 06 clutches? is there anyway to get it replaced under warranty? and would it be wise to upgrade the clutch to an aftermarket one?

Is there an after market clutch that is stronger that can be used with the stock flywheel? any recommendations?

or

I have also looked into maybe doing a clutch/flywheel combination, but I really want the car to have similar pedal feel and no flywheel chatter. are there any flywheel/clutch options that would provide this?

thanks for your time!

Are you certain you have a clutch problem?

ya, I am pretty certain. Before if I came out of a corner with the traction control off and I floored it the back end would want to come around. But now it feels gutless coming out of the corner. I also accelerated hard from a stand still the other day and it felt like my tires were spinning, but it was my clutch you could smell it.

There are several recent Need a new clutch threads. Good reading. Basically if it looks like a OEM clutch, it will perform similar to a OEM clutch. Once you get to a clutch recommended for, say, 400 horsepower, it will be less street friendly.
