Default first performance mod

Lately I've been debating which performance bolt-on mod/mods to start with, and what order to go in as I continue to mod my Z. So far my Z is stock other than wheels/tires. The things I've had in mind are:

exhaust, popcharger, plenum spacer, aftermarket clutch/lightweight flywheel combo (not in any particular order)

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I've battled with this throughout the years...and it seems my credit card companies have won!!! It really depends on your goals with the car. I am a track minded feller and if I had to do it all again, I would start with suspension modifications first. In addition, I would spend a little extra and work on tightening the loose nut behind the wheel! Take it out to a track day, learn to drive your car the way it is...as you improve, you will quickly find out what needs to be modded first!!!!

Clutch and flywheel should come after some modding IMO. Is it going to be a daily driver? And +1 on what year your car is.

it's an 2004, daily driver.

I'm looking for "the best bang for your buck." street reliability with good power. No track yet, just fast street.

and my budget is sort of limited, probably around $1500 for now.

y-pipes to free up that congestion on your exhaust. if u dont mind the check engine light, go for test pipes. but they're for off-road use only. use at ur own discretion.

+1, I was also getting too much stress about what to mod first, if you want to get impression from other, put exhaust and intake(simple and also visible to other), Coilovers for a hardcore driving and you can also get the lower looking of your car. I am drifter so the first thing that I put in my car was the LSD, you wouldn't regret to this mod, you will have so much fun with it even you don't track your car.

coilover and lsd are for driving side of you, exhaust and intake are for the impression side of you, even thou everything is brings up the car performance, so it is up to you.

. After seeing/hearing all the mods people have done to their Z's in the past 5 years, Wheels/tires and/or suspension would be the best 1st move.
